Who are S & G Industrial Roofing Limited?
S & G Industrial Roofing Limited was established in 1996. Both directors, Sean Partridge and Anthony Scott came from cladding backgrounds. Sean Partridge has been involved in the industry since 1979 and started off fixing, then progressed to site foreman and contracts manager onto running a business. Anthony Scott, started in the industry in 1994.
S & G Industrial Roofing Limited are suppliers and installers of roofing and cladding products and are involved in both new build and refurbishing works. We currently work between £1 to £2 million a year turnover. Value of contracts range in value between £1,000 and £1 million. We also have maintenance contracts with many clients offering anything from gutter cleaning to roofing repairs. Maintenance work can be carried out on a budgeted annual maintenance contract basis or each job can be priced individually. Our day work rates are very competitive; we charge our labour at £22.50 per hour, materials cost plus 20% and plant at cost plus 15%.
Quality
We are approved installers for many cladding manufacturers such as Ash & Lacy Building Systems, Corus Panels and Profiles, Kingspan Insulated Panels, Euroclad and Rigidal Systems. Part of the approved status which Corus and Ash & Lacy we can offer the client a 40 year system-backed warranty. This warranty is held directly with the client and the manufacturer.
Our status as a Corus platinum installer for the East Anglian region means we can offer a system warranty of up to 40 years, which covers workmanship, materials, mastics and fixings. Predominately all of these items would be warranted by several different manufacturers whereas Corus Panels and Profiles have brought the whole package under one roof. This is a very good warrantee where a collateral warrantee is required as this is held directly with the client and Corus.
Our status as an Ash sure installer for Ash & Lacy Building Systems, means that we can offer the same kind of warrantee as the Corus platinum. These warrantees give the client full peace of mind, especially in today's present climate where builders and contractors are closing down their businesses or going into receivership. Not every roofing company can offer these warrantees as there is a vigorous process to be undertaken prior to selection. Jobs are frequently vetted by suppliers so we always have to be ahead of our game.
Our company director visits sites on a weekly basis to check up all employees and sub contactors. We also prepare our own method statements and risk assessments for all our contracts. These in turn are vetted by an independent safety company. To date we have had no reportable accidents and safety of all our employees and public is paramount to our company.
All our plant and machinery, is hired in from reputable companies and comes with certification and all our own tools and plant are regularly inspected and maintained.
We're also members of the Confederation of Roofing Contractors (CRC). To maintain the approval status the manufacturers frequently visit our jobs and inspect and report on the workmanship and installation of the cladding systems.
Part of our waste management policy is to minimise landfill waste wherever reasonably practical.
Safety
All of our personnel are Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card holders in roofing and cladding. Operatives carry iPath for all mobile machinery and Construction Plant Competence Scheme (CPCS) card holders for forklifts. Also, we are Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS) registered.
We carry public liability, employers liability, professional indemnity and contractors all risk insurances.
